Select: Search Jobs | Search Resumes | Post Job | Edit Job | Post Resume | About JobMatch Job Available 11/14/24: Position: Intermodal Dispatch Location: Franklin Park, IL Experience: 1-3 years Salary: Full Time Rushmore is looking for an organized and dedicated Intermodal Dispatcher to join our team and help ensure timely and efficient deliveries. **Job Responsibilities:** - Plan and adjust delivery routes to meet daily customer needs. - Stay in constant contact with drivers to coordinate pickups and deliveries. - Communicate with drivers via tablet and phone to provide load details, maintenance updates, and general information. - Make sure drivers understand each load’s requirements and company expectations. - Track driver and truck status daily, handling any issues that arise. - Build strong relationships with drivers and customers, responding to last-minute changes smoothly. - Monitor traffic or road issues and assist drivers in planning alternate routes. - Maintain accurate records in our dispatch system to ensure a steady flow of information. - Answer email inquiries professionally and promptly. **Qualifications:** - Clear and effective communication skills, especially under pressure. - Strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple routes and drivers. - Quick problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations. - Flexibility with scheduling, including occasional weekends and holidays. - Familiarity with local roadways/rails and MS Office. - High school diploma or GED required.
